- When I started studying at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (Media and design) I wasn't too sure on what to really focus on regarding developing artistic skills. However after playing around with 3D in Cinema 4D I quickly fell in love with it. It openend up a new world of posabilities for me. After learning a bit about 3D during my time at the GLR I got the opportunity to do an internship for 9 months at Vertigo Games.

I have always wanted to work in art. At first I looked into architecture and other related careers, but it never seemed to live up to the fantastical designs I loved to make. Then I got introduced into game development, and the rest is history.

When I was around 14 I downloaded Blender from Steam because I had no computer games to play. Ever since I have been going in deeper and deeper into 3D graphics. When I turned 16 I decided to pursue a career in the game industry so I started to look for a university.

When I left high school I started making 3d stuff, and thought WOW this is Awesome, and I havent stopped since! Right now im a student at the Breda university for games!

I have always known I wanted to do something creative with art, but when I saw someone creating a small game on his own, I fell in love. From that moment I knew I wanted to become a game artist and I have been working on improving my skills ever since!

As soon as I learned how to read, I would spend countless hours reading vintage comics stored away in my grandparents' house. However, as much as I was fascinated by these works, the moment I learned about the possibility of giving life to these characters and stories, I knew I just had to work in the animation industry.

When I changed schools to learn the basics of graphic and object design, I fell in love with 3D. I wanted to work in the entertainment industry because I thought it is a great way to tell a story and give anybody inspiration.

I knew I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry in my senior year in high school

Storytelling is my passion. I have many stories to tell. I can play an entire original movie in my head if I wish. But these stories will never become real, will never be enjoyed by other people, until I act on it and learn how to actually create them. Art, Animation, Programming, these are all tools I have to learn to be able to accomplish my creative visions, and inspire others with my stories.

Third Year Environment Artist at NHTV/BUAS Interested in Environment art as well as prop modelling and texturing.

In high school, I started playing around with 3d software (2015), then enrolled in a study focused on game art. Now I joined BUas to further develop my skills, learn more about the industry and create industry-level project to hopefully land the job of my dreams

About 5 years ago. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I thought about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, something I enjoyed and had a passion for, and so I started my Animation journey in University. I then moved country as well as university and began making animations and developing my skills within game development.

Ever since I was very young, I have always played video games, and when I couldn't just yet, I would watch my dad do it. I always loved the different worlds, stories and experiences that games would provide me, and I just started falling more and more in love with games, until I found out (it sounds weird right, it seemed like magic to a little girl!) that I could be part of that process!

Not sure when exactly, i have always been drawing ever since i was a little kid. First somebody pointed out to me that i should try and get into graphic design, this was the first time i actually saw the spark of being able to get somewhere with creative media work. that's where i found out about the gaming and film industry and what you could achieve with such media.

I found out that I want to be a visual artist at the age of 15 since I liked drawing. Throughout high school, I realized that working as a visual artist would be really entertaining for me since I understood the software easily and I was eager to learn more. Now I am learning visual arts at university in the Netherlands and it is an amazing experience. It is great to be in a close community of artist and see what everyone is doing and how they are progressing.

Video games were fascinating me since my childhood. I got my first PC as I turned 12 years old. Back then some of my friends were playing GTA San Andreas and for me it contained much which amazed me: an open game world, a variety of auto mobiles and a compelling story. Through modifications I was able to change the game to my perceptions. This led to my curiosity in this kind of field which would have normally been hidden for many.

I have been passionate about game and film FX for a long time. While playing a game I always get passionate about the lore, fantasy worlds and amazing art. Once I started studying game art I became very passionate about creating digital 3D art and while learning this I instantly knew I wanted to work in this industry.

After working for Gameloft Romania as a game tester in late 2015, I have bough a drawing tablet and ever since haven't looked back. I have started with small fanart, looked more into concept art , got more interested in the industry and finally applied for the university I am at. Here I have discovered myself and much deeper sides of my love for art than I would've done alone.

When I was quite young (12) a friend of ours introduced me to Blender. I started to dabble into 3D, trying a bit of everything. I realized I liked 3d environment art the best. I was hugely inspired watching FZD on Youtube and knew I wanted to work in video games. At the moment I'm attending a Games visual art course at Breda University of applied sciences.

At the age of 10, when I played Spyro for the first time. I always wanted to be a sculptor or a painter when I was younger. But it meant there wasn't more to it than just a pretty picture. When I realized 3D art was an actual job, I aspired to become a character artist for games. Creating your own characters to be played by people around the world- is just the absolute dream!
