Round of applause for our sponsors

I have always wanted to do something creative whether it be music or art however in adolescent years I started to become engaged in programming where I thought technical artist should be the job role that I aspire to be.

In my earlty teens I realised that the idea of creating 3D virtualised images had endless possibilities and would allo wme to create anything. I didnt however consider it as a possible career until my visit to my current university where we were presented a course where students are taught to create these 3D spaces and assets. I wasnt considering university at the time but seeing the past student works made me want to do it myself.

My realization that I wanted to work in a digital industry came very early on. My Dad was an avid gamer, and when I was 5 years old I used to sit beside him and go on 'adventures' in Guild Wars with him. The media captivated me and provided me a space to learn and play. Coming from a fine art and academic background, digital media also paralleled creativity and problem solving and that seemed like a natural fit for me. I went on to study Video Game Digital Art at University.

I went through a tough time in high school. My home and school life were very stressful for me. But thankfully, I had the comfort of games and film at home, particularly Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3. It became a great source of solace for me in those times. Over the years, this solace turned into inspiration. I wanted to create something that could help someone similar to how I was. Creating worlds and narrative is a freeing experience unlike any other.

I have made animations from a young age, starting out with stopmotion videos, loving the idea you could bring non real thing to life. I had a 50/50 split between a sport career which i pursued in college, or a visual creative career which i pursued as a hobby. I came to University and loved 3d animation and creating awesome visual content!

I started off in Creative Media during my time at college and discovered my passion for VFX working in blender

I've always played and enjoyed games from as young as I can remeber so you could say I always wanted to work with games from the begining but didn't think it was a career option until after I started a career in hospitality/Chefing. After a few years of that I found out it was an opition so I quickly found out as much as I could, I tried a bit of free learning on my own before being able to get in university and graduating last year.

I've always had a passion for watching animations films and since nowadays the animations films have evolved so much it is amazing to see the limitless possibilities. I became particularly interested across my second year at university when I explored the Motion Capture studio.

I first realised that i wanted to work in this industry during my first year of college when i met my first industry professional, they work they showed was inspiring and ever since i have been aiming to thrive in this industry

I have always been interested in the creative effects in the movies I have watched. For example, I always wanted to know how you can place a person in a background in which the person is not actually there. i wanted to explore how animation is created and we can film on set, with different roles. My university has given me the opportunity to learn some of key aspects of this industry.

Realising that you can create almost anything in 3D on a home computer, really inspired me to start making projects of my own.

Wanting to work in the creative field was always at the back of my mind from a young age, at that time i didn't know that it was even an option for me but once it came time to go to university, i chose to do a course in visual effects and get involved in the creative media and entertainment industry.

I got into computer graphics to 3D modelling on my Amiga in 1994.

I don't believe there was a certain point when I realized that I wanted to work in the entertainment industry. I think I was steadily heading toward this type of discipline when I started feeling more confident in my creative ability. There were moments when I doubted if this would be a viable path for me. Even though people at times were impressed by my skills, I didn't necessarily get much endorsement to seek this as a career choice.

I have always loved making films. I made short stop motion films when I was around 12. I also made short films with friends at sixth form. I never actually took a film course or anything until University. Sci fi and animated movies along with the corridor digital YouTube channel sparked my interest in Visual effects. 4 Years ago I picked up Blender for the first time and made my first visual effects shot, and I have been hooked ever since.

When I was in 6th form.

In high school my Mom recommended a digital media and games course my brother did that I love the idea of, and in second year we started 3D modelling which I fell in love with and couldn't put down in my spare time.

Hi! I'm a Video Games Digital Art graduate with a focus towards 3D Character Art production, portfolio available here: https://www.artstation.com/jehsieeart At 16, I opened my own freelancing business in illustrations and concept work. I've completed commissions for content creators across the world including Youtube branding, designing educational resources and conceptualising characters for games. My love for achieving a vision blossomed from this initiative!

For my whole life my life goal has been to inspire and entertain people as they go about their own wonderful journey. Art had always fascinated me and as an avid game enthusiast I decided I would combine my passions to pursue a career working as part of the biggest growing industry in the world.

Ever since I was child, started with photoshop at the age of 10 and found a creative interest helping local shows and charities with posters or trailers
