Round of applause for our sponsors

When I was in High school I had a slight interest and after leaving school and experiencing different careers I wanted to pursue it full time.

I've always been into creative arts, I have been a professional architecture photographer for over 10 years. I am now looking to move into the digital arts and game programming field.

I stumbled across a 3D production pipeline video in high school and was fascinated at how the process operated. It gave me such an appreciation for the way content is created and how different specialisations work together. I’m super grateful to now be on the journey of making 3D content and looking forward to creating great work alongside likeminded people.

When I was studding architecture I fell in love with 3D modelling and visualisation and straight after I decided to return to school and expand my knowledge and learn new programs.

As a child I became obsessed with the behind the scenes of films and knew that the film industry is the path for me.

I've always wanted to be an artist or animator ever since primary school. I started with drawing lessons, hoping to maybe be a 2D animator one day. That dream morphed into a 3D artist/animator after I discovered Photoshop and Blender in high school.

Over the past few years I have been on an epic personal journey. After high school I had no hobbies or any idea what came next for me. I felt listless and lost, so I got on a plane and went to find myself. During this time I moved house more times than I can count, each time I would make do with my limited space and furnishings but I still made it my own sanctuary. It finally dawned on me that I loved to create an atmosphere and could do it every day as an Interior Designer.

I have always created. Drawing and painting at a young age, these skills grew and provided an outlet throughout my childhood and teens to explore and create my own worlds. Naturally attracted to sci-fi and fantasy films, I was soon able to create whole fictional worlds that I now use as motivation for fashion design and branding.

I've always loved Animated movies and shows. I think the first time was when I watched Hercules (1997) and wanted to make things just like that. After that, I started to dabble in art and I'm learning animation as well.

Around 2018 where I gave up learning a degree in information technology and pursued a career in the video game/film industries. I started growing my portfolio ever since. Every year I learn more and more. I started growing my passion when I was around 13 years old, getting inspired playing video games like mirror's edge ,loving the level design. This grew into spending my free time in a level editor in the source engine by valve, making as many maps using BSP geometry as I could.

A long time ago! but due to real life i had to provide for my family so my creative streak was on on the back burner.

It was the time when I struggling with Business Degree in UNSW 2 years ago. I had decided to drop out UNSW and started an online street clothing store and learned design by myself. After touching all kind of creative work from designing graphic on t-shirt, taking photos and making short film, I decide to step further by getting a degree in Communication Degree so that I can be more professional with my future career.

I used to work as a Product Manager in a digital marketing agency, where I closely collaborated with developers, UX, and other designers. Over time, I discovered a deeper interest in their work rather than managing them. This realization prompted me to pursue a career change, leading me to enroll in a UX and Web Design course, which I am currently undertaking. I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of it; it feels like a hobby that I can engage in endlessly.

I knew the creative industry was for me from the moment I picked a Crayola crayon. I pursued creative subjects throughout school including Visual Arts, Visual Design, Photography, Textiles & Design, Dance and Design & Technology just to name a few. I gained crucial experience in customer relations with an 8-year long career in the fitness industry before deciding to study Graphic Design with Billy Blue - where I finally felt I found my dream career path and purpose!

It was a bit over 10 years ago I wanted to become an Environment Artist for video games. Sounds silly but it was through stumbling on a time-lapse video on Youtube of an artist creating an dystopian environment with lots of foliage and vegetation.

From drawing Pokemon in primary school to taking painting classes on weekends as a teenager, I knew that a tedious 9-5 office job was the last thing I wanted. I have since expanded my skillset across various digital mediums and continue to do so to tell more stories and create memorable experiences like the ones that influenced me in my childhood.

When i saw that others were able to bring their creations to life I then decided that i wanted to do the same no matter what.

As an avid gamer during my formative years, my fascination with the world of video games was the impetus for my desire to pursue a career in the creative media and entertainment industry. I quickly discovered my passion for game design, taking various introductory courses to develop my skills and understanding.

My fascination with design been innate to me even as a child, so working within the creative industry I knew was where I needed to be. I started to study interior design back in 2014 but after succumbing to my own self-doubts decided to shelf the dream and dabble in the design industry without fully diving in. In 2022 I re-enrolled to finish my degree at Billy Blue Sydney, one the best decision I have made. My first teacher introduced me to 3Dsmax and it has since become my new obsession.

Since the start of my Digital journey. which was when i was around 12 years old I am now 40.

I have wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry since I was a kid, but it always felt like just a pipe dream. After hearing success stories about other people making viable careers in the creative arts, and with the encouragement and unwavering support from my loved ones, I realised I could make the dream a reality.

I used to watch Dinosaur CG Documentaries and TV shows such as Walking With Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Park when I was a kid. I was inspired to start drawing and creating stop-motion animation, then over my teenage years built my way up to studying 3D Animation at university.
