Round of applause for our sponsors

I realised from a young age I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry coming from a very creative family I was always pushed to embrace my imagination. I fell in love with films heavy in effects such as King Kong, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man and since then have wanted to create my own worlds that people can immerse themselves in the same way I did when I was younger.

I realised i wanteed to work in the creative media industry when i went to the open day for Belfast met to look at the different courses and seen how the VFX course looked and what it can offer to students and made the decision once i seen the final animations from past students throughout the years.

Since I got a huge interst in films growing up and started my Moving image Arts GCSE

I had seen the processes made for games and immediately I wanted to do that. I'm currently studying Motion Graphics so hopefully I can learn a variety of skills so I can develop and move into video game production.

Early as 2007, I've been avid fan of CGI especially when it comes to game cutscenes. This interest grew during my secondary education, I've been experimenting with Blender with no experience as hobby. I just love creating what's on my mind and express it through 3D modelling.

I AM NOT WRITING THIS

I knew I wanted a career in something creative, after having done photoshop with art A Level I then realised I wanted to do something with IT and Creativity. I then wanted to make websites as this allowed me the freedom to do both which led me eventually to animation and motion graphics which will help me further my passion of web design but also enhance the viability and creation of the websites.

I first realised I wanted to be in the Creative Media and Entertainment Industry when I was studying Science in 2016, I saw a posting for a Level 3 VFX course at Belfast Metropolitan College. I joined the course for enjoyment and throughout the 2 years gained a major love for the VFX industry, from then on I was really into it and wanted to continue.

As a kid I was always very imaginative and loved building worlds and stories in my head, as I got older I took more of an interest in games, films, and TV. When the time came to choose a career I knew I had to go with my creativity its the first part of my personality that flourished and so I decided it would be amazing to be able to take those stories and worlds I created in my head and bring them into existence for others to experience also.

I released when I was 16 and was still in school doing my studies and I knew that it wasn't for me I hated doing the studies and the assignments, I wasn't passionate about it. I never had the drive for it. I then seen there was a course on Game development at my local college and I applied and I love every second there I am always trying to improve my art and get to the next level.

From my early teens, I wanted nothing more than to work on Doctor Who, Star Wars and all other fun, unique VFX adventures. I couldn't get enough of movies. It's now 9 years after googling "How to make VFX?" and nothings changed!

I realised I wanted to join the creative industries when I was doing my A-Levels in media studies and Moving Image Arts

In secondary school I realised that I was more creatively inclined and decided to follow that path. When I left school I studied courses in Interactive Media Design, 3D Design, Interior Architecture and now Visual Effects, I am passionate about the combination of technology and design. Prior to this course I have been working in the graphic design and web development industry.

I wanted to work in the creative industries for as long as I can remember, I have always liked drawing and that later developed into wanting to learn how to animate when I got older.

Like most artistic people growing up with Cartoons like "Regular Show" and "The Amazing World of Gumball" made me want to doodle as a kid, and doodling was all it was until My A-level years in which my Moving Images A-level game me the opportunity to make my own two minute animated film, I had to teach myself but I learned a lot and was very proud of the result. this showed me that I do truly enjoy this craft and I had the beginning of a talent to pursue this career.

The first CD/album I owned was Demon Days by the Gorillaz, my enjoyment of the album led me to the amazing world of animated music videos and from there my love of art and animation grew.

I have wanted to work in the creative industries since secondary school as I have always had a deep love of film and TV, especially the behind-the-scenes content. However I was unsure of what area I wanted to enter into. I studied media and moving images for my GCSE's and A-levels. and it wasn't until then that I became aware of Visual Effects, while I am still new to the field I am excited about learning as mush as possible and expanding my skills.

I have always enjoyed visual effects and have always been intrigued by how visual effects are produced

Back in secondary school I always enjoyed the creative media tasks that we were assigned as well as always enjoying things such as editing. I have always also been interested in the creation of popular movies and because of that was always intrigued in how they were made and the many steps involved.

I realised that I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry around three years ago. I have always been creative and it was only when I started creating digital art that I began to contemplate the careers I could pursue with it. I started looking into this industry I found that there were a lot of roles I could go down. I have explored these roles more and my interest continues to grow.

From 2014, at age 12, I knew I wanted to be a video editor. Starting from AVS Video Editor and Paint.net, I gradually went to Vegas Pro, and then the Adobe suite of Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop, where I am now most comfortable. I then went from only knowing video editing to the world of Visual Effects Production.

I enjoy designing and working with film/tv has always interested me. I would love to work in pre-production such as storyboarding but also have a passion for animating.

Back in 2018 I picked up a virtual sandbox game which allowed uploading custom character models and environments. I was instantly hooked to the idea, and gotten into learning the process through watching a lot of tutorials and interacting with the community. At first I was only working with premade assets, but over time, I slowly progressed into making more myself and I knew I wanted to reach great heights in this, that's how I gotten into university education in 3D modelling and animation area.
