Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I've always loved playing games as a child. I've dreamed about making games myself, but this goal was somewhat forgotten when I was growing up, and under influence of my grandfather I wanted to be an engineer. But by the end of high school I've realised that art and games are things I truly love, and that's when my journey began.
When I first saw concept art from Mass Effect as a 10/11 year old girl, I instantly became excited about the possibility to imagine alien worlds in such a beautiful way. Since then, I had developed some other interests, briefly studied pharmacy, but then I realized I want to entwine my life with art. I enrolled in Graphic Design, since there were no game-related degrees in my city back then, and during my 3rd year developed an interest in 3D art.
during high school I'd say, drawing and creating was all I wanted to do but I felt pretty lost in how I was going to create a living out of that and then one day I came across animation, it just kind of then came to me "oh yea... that's a job right?" you'd think growing up and enjoying cartoons so much would make that thought a 'no brainer' but until then I hadn't given it any real thought.
I started to gain interest in creative media when i was in middle school. It started out as a hobby of doing very rough sketches of comic book and video games characters during class, but unfortunately as i couldn't attended any sort of creative based class because of how Vietnam's educational system works so i mostly learn doing drawing by myself. I'm now currently doing Design stream for the Foundation program at University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Might have happened 5 or 6 years ago when I first played Call of Duty 4 and it was awesome. Might be considered generic now but back then it was a great game with mind breaking features. I remember playing Dragon Age Origins and loving every bit of it. I spent hours upon hours on DotA 2. I can never do that for books or film, they are not immersive enough, not addicting, not good enough.
