I am a Traditional Fine artist, who always had a passion for playing video games and generating ideas for character as a hobby. However, when by coincidence I met my now degree course leaders through another course, I started to create characters as a prospect for a future career. Although I have only been creating 2D and 3D work digitally for a couple years, I absolutely love to game and to get to be involved in that process with characters would be amazing!

I realised i wanted to work in the creative industry after watching a YouTube channel called "Corridor Digital", who make short stories using visual effects.

I first gained an interest in visual design within media from a young age. During this time I became very interested in the cut out books of vechicles from various science fiction and fantacy properties. As I grew up this developed into an interest in architecture helped by my dad's engineeing background. This developed into a love of Science fiction and technology which I followed in school with computer science and art leading to my interest in creative media and the career path I'm following.

I realised this when I went to college in Basingstoke. There I learned basic 3D modelling skills and I found it an amazing way to express my creativity.

As I was finishing my engineering high school I knew I wanted something a little bit different. Here I first started creating 3D but something was still missing. I then studied graphic design in the Czech Republic, where I learnt more about art and worked on several interesting projects. I did several posters, logos, ads and many more. In my final year, I started working more with 3D. I knew I wanted to learn more so I came to Southampton to dabble into 3D and focused on character creation.

I have always been creative and it was as a teenager i discovered my passion for arts. At around 10 I discovered 3ds max through a port called G-max which i used to create levels for games i played. After school i pursued a career in music as an audio engineer. After some time i fell back in love with visual art and decided to make a career change and go back into education, I am currently studying BA (hons) in Computer Generated Imagery at Solent University, graduating 2023.

Videogames have always been a large part of my life, however, it was only as I got older that I started to appreciate them as an art form. I became more and more intrigued by the worlds, stories, and characters that they provided and how well they work in an interactive medium. Even before this, I had a love for animated films and VFX, but being able to experience the art in a hands-on way really stuck with me for videogame and pulled me into using my artistic abilities in the gaming industry.

First year of college, I realised that programming wasn't really the route I wanted to take and I had just got into 3d modelling and really started considering it as a career as I have always had a passion for games and wanted to turn that into a career

After i finished college; I've always had a creative imagination, but until i looked at the various courses University had to offer i never knew how to funnel that creativity. With my main passions being video games at the time, i realized that creating art, and working on games, two of my favourite passions, were could be learned and perfected at the same time with video game art. Thus, i signed up to learn 3D art and have been constantly getting better ever since.

I grew up loving art and videogames, and it wasn't until I was looking at University courses that I realised I could combine both. Since then I have always enjoyed working in and around the constraints of realtime, and love finding ways of improving my artwork.

I always loved creating and building props and costumes, so while studying Game Art in College I naturally fell in love with doing all of it in a digital version as well.

back in 2020 I started learning Blender and got into 3D software. Since then I haven't stopped learning and am looking to improve my work with the Rookies.

i first wanted to get into visual effects after watching jurassic park

When watching Movies and TV Shows that included Visual Effects, I realised that I wanted to be a part of an industry that combined both the skill of art and computing, (skills that I'm especially interested in) and put into motion, for all audiences to see.

I have always had an interest in creative work and creating things, letting my imagination run wild has always been something that i have loved to do and have been able to spend hours on each day. I think i first realised this when i started doing digital art and creating things out of clay when i was in secondary school. i first started to realise that i enjoyed it so i went and bought myself an ipad so that i can create more digital art since then i have created many more pieces

From young I have always taken an interest in CGI and Visual Effects, and always aspired since then to create my own projects and stories. From movies to music videos, they have all inspired me in one way or another to start my journey as an artist and build a career around what I love doing.

Started as a hobby and realised I really enjoyed it.

Started watching videos on YouTube about blender, slowly got myself into it by following tutorials. Ive always enjoyed movies and games, working in this industry is something I would enjoy

Since I was young I've always loved fiction and the creativity that fuels it. That is were my love for the creative industries came from. As time developed I realised I wanted to go into the 3d sector of the industry and so far I have no regrets.
