From wanting to be a princess, to a hairdresser, to an interior designer, I went to dreaming about being an artist. I always knew I wanted to be a creator of some sort, but realizing I have always been passionate about drawing, films and games, I knew being a digital creator would be IT.

I have always been a visual person, after studying architecture I realised that I would love to tell stories visually. Growing up with animations & movies it became clear to me that these are the art forms that I want to follow.

I've always had small creative projects going on, ranging from drawing to making an escape room contained in a single briefcase. The one thing that was always consistent was me getting absolutely absorbed in the process. Researching, reading and testing things out to get the exact outcome I wanted. Fast forward 4 unsuccessful years of Biomedical Sciences and I am doing all the above, working harder as ever and enjoying every minute of it.

I am a student at Digital Arts and Entertainment Howest in Belgium studying VFX and 3D Animation and currently intern at Loom Post.

As a kid I was inspired wachting movies and games, loved drawing and making animations

Ever since i was a kid, the 3D world has always sparked my curiosity. The idea of creating props, characters, and the entire environment around it piqued my interest right away. So after high school, it was only natural that I would look for a school that could teach me these skills. DAE in my instance, completely turned my world on its head and showed me how much more 3D is. All my questions about 3D could finally be answered and i could start learning the ropes.

Ever since I as a kid drawing was one of my favorite things to do, only later I realized it could actually be a job. As of now drawing has declined quite a bit and I'm more busy with 3D media.

I always loved being creative and loved looking at impressive art in games for example. I then realized relatively quickly that I enjoy 3d modelling for games myself and started my journey in 2018 at the DAE

I was always an avid gamer, once I became curious to learn how things work behind the curtain in the development and got hooked since then.

Started learning CAD in school (industrial woodworking) . Finished applied architecture at Howest and wanted to focus on real-time visuals. Now enrolled at Howest - digital arts and entertainment.

From early on Graphic Design was a passion. Designing logo's and building websites from the ground up was a daily hobby I would spend hours on. With the combination of my vast imagination my friends boosted me into studying Game Graphics Production @ DAE, Howest. Once these doors opened up for me, I felt like a kid getting new toys to play with! I love the 3D world because as we all know it has no boundaries. If you can imagine it, you can make it.

I was eight years old when computer graphics first got my attention. I've practiced it since and made a hobby of it that I wish to turn into a full-time job.

I started messing around with Cinema 4D in my fourth year of highschool. A hobby became more and more interesting until I decided to pursue it as a potential career path. During my time at Howest DAE, I came in contact with the different software and techniques that are used in the industry. My hunger for more grew and during a simulation course, I encountered SideFX's Houdini and FX. I immediatly fell in love with it. Since that moment, Houdini has been my primary focus.

From the First Time I saw an 3D animation movie.

I wasn't one, when growing up, watching films thinking that one day, I'm gonne be a film maker. As a kid I was an ardent gamer, getting into clans and whatnot with my friends. I also got into GFX, which was essentially making youtube banners and logos. I didn't even know this was something I wanted to do in the future, but I would literally come home from school, excited to work on some random guy's youtube banner.

Bachelor of Digital arts and entertainment. Specialization: 3D Production and VFX. HOWEST, BELGIUM

I spent my childhood drawing robots and machines, later experimenting a bit with 3d in blender. In the final years of high school when I was looking for an university to study, a friend told me this was a career option. After doing some research I enrolled at Howest Digital Arts and Entertainment, best choice of my life!

Like many people, I have always been into drawing, painting, and all the creative things. I think I have always known that I am built for creating something, looking at the world with curiosity, and being mesmerized by colors, light, and shadow and not so much about writing long papers, trying to solve a mathematical equation etc.

For me it all started with my enrolment being registered incorrectly. I wanted to enrol in an academy for photo editing. Yet for some reason I was assigned to the 3D printing class. It wasn't what I expected but I liked it, so I stayed. I got in touch with the software Blender and fell in love instantly. Now I rarely touch my 3D printer and make 3D renders in my spare time.

I've known since I was a teenager that I wanted to turn my creativity into my profession. I've been drawing and designing characters and worlds for as long as I can remember. As someone who has always loved playing games, it was only natural that I aspired to work in the games industry. This goal became clearest to me in college, when I discovered that my passion lay in 3D character creation rather than concept art.

I decided at the age of 10 when I made a 32 page comic book about a giant mole that would attack people in mines and an electric dragon that tickled people. It was a ridiculous comic book but I had so much fun making it that I decided I wanted to draw for a living.

When I was younger, I loved video games and game graphics, Skyrim was the game that blew me away. I started playing around with some map editors as my interest grew. When I got older I realized that I did not only want to do this as a hobby but as an actual job, so when I graduated high school I immediately signed up for Game Graphics Production at DAE Howest. I had never done 3D modelling before, but got hooked on this very easily. However, my main interest goes out to environment art.

I've been interested in digital arts for my whole life. It started with fiddling with photoshop to create funny memes of my friends around 10 years ago. Since then I continued to acquire new skills by self learning and I also graduated at Digital Arts and Entertainment in Kortijk, Belgium in the degree of Game Graphics Productions. I continue to strive to acquire new skills or polish the ones I already have by enjoying the personal projects I make in my spare time and at my next job.

I have picked up my first 3D software during quarantine after I followed a coding course and wanted to make my own game. It was the best decision of my life to make my own assets rather than buying a pack from a marketplace, because that got me into 3D art. Ever since I have experimented with different software like Blender, Substance Painter and Designer, Fusion 360, Maya, Plasticity, Houdini and others that aren't dedicated towards 3D art. I am now a student in Howest DAE Belgium.
