Round of applause for our sponsors

I have worked in the creative industries for around 20 years, first as a Graphic Designer, developing brand designs, graphic art and illustrations. Following this I changed careers and became a modeller in the film industry, creating props, creatures, costumes and more for the likes of Star Wars, Batman, Barbie and other blockbuster films. Now I’m making a change again, training to specialise in digital sculpting and modelling to become a 3D Character Artist.

When I was young I started making Lego Stop Motion videos with my family’s old camcorder. I would have a lot of fun writing the scripts and designing the sets for the shots. But I soon realized that I enjoyed adding the visual effects and touch ups the most! I knew from then on that I wanted to do something in the world of visual effects!

Ever since I was young, I have been drawn to music and the arts. While it was a juggle with my professional career as a design engineer, I found time to be a part-time professional photographer and music composer. The pandemic was a forceful reorganization of priorites and an opportunity to learn some emerging story telling technologies, for which both my creative and engineering background aligned perfectly. So in Feb. of 2023, I decided to bet on myself and started DRKR PXLS Creative.

Working in corporate roles for years, I've always had a passion for cartooning/illustration. My hobby turned into a bit of freelancing on the side and then, in late 2021, a corporate restructure gave me the opportunity to happily leave my day job and pursue cartooning more seriously. I have always loved animation and straight away signed up for a course in fundamentals of 2D animation with CG Spectrum. Very excited to see where my new animation skills will take my art and my freelance business!

I realised that creative industries could be my professional future after getting involved with XR, back in 2016. My strong, perennial interest in state-of-the-art technologies led me to expand my knowledge and attend the Unreal Connectors program. The parallel adoption of gaming technologies in the film industry further intrigued me to pursue a career in Virtual Production or other similar positions.

I think the first time I ever had the inspiration or the idea that I could work in the industry was the first time I had attended Comic Con in my town. We had seen a lot of creators and artists with projects that they were showing off and with the inspiration of my Dad he turns to me and says, "You should make your own Comic book." To this day I never forget that moment, if it wasn't for that I'd probably never would've even thought that being an Artist was possible.

I've been drawing ever since I was able to hold a pencil. With an overactive imagination, I was always creating characters and stories that I would support with my drawings. Graduating from college with a graphic design degree at the begining of the pandemic didn't land me many work opportunities, so I took this newfound time to delve deeper into digital art. I really enjoy video games, and simply looking at my favorite games' artbooks fires me up! As such, concept art was a no-brainer :)

I realized I wanted to get into the creative industry after developing a love for anime, American animation, South Korean animation, French animation, manga, American style comics and South Korean comics.

As a junior 3D modeler, I have a passion for creating immersive and stylized 3D models for games, using Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter and Designer, and Unreal Engine. I have completed multiple online courses and certifications to enhance my skills and knowledge in these tools and technologies. I am eager to apply my skills and creativity to the gaming industry, especially in the stylized genre, where I can showcase my artistic vision and attention to detail.

For all of my life, I tried to learn how to draw and study illustration, but I found out that I have aphantasia, so it's almost impossible for me to draw, but I'm an artist, I know. I love creating and thanks to 3D software, in 2019 I came back to school.

I have always had an interest in drawing and sculpting with clay. In college, while studying graphic design, I realized my interests and some skills overlap in 3D Modeling. I studied on my own for a while, before enrolling in some courses with CG Spectrum to learn the industry standard for 3D Modeling.

I've always loved drawing creatures and characters and coming up with stories to go with them. I started playing around with Blender and fell in love with 3D modeling. Ever since then, I have been working to improve my art and storytelling skills.

I've been a software engineer for the last 5 years and the thing that I've really enjoyed mostly about it that I was always constantly learning, building something together with others and collaborating, and seeing it all come together. This means that my journey into the 3d modelling world has been quite a smooth transition for me.

I always appreciated art from magic the gathering cards to video game concept art. It was just recently I had the time and realization that it would be possible for me to get into the industry

I was soul searching while teaching in Japan - reading art books at thrift stores, taking photos of the countryside, watching anime - and while teaching, I realized that I wanted to work in the concept art field where I can help create the many stories there are to tell!

I wanted to dedicated myself with art when I realized that working in any branch of the mechanical industry, started to became a waste of time... At this point, my motivation for creating content is by far higher than fix machines in someone else's workshop.

Year 2020, month July, I just started my Post Graduation in Management. As the month progress I started to realize that I don't want my career in something not interesting for me at all and don't just want to go with it. I dropped the course and spent next 5 months searching for other opportunities as I never done something art related and stumble upon 3D modeling, I was surprised to learn that I can create which I only can imagine and from Jan 2021 I started my journey with CG Spectrum.

I am thrilled to introduce myself as a 3D artist with a passion for creating stunning cinematic environments. I have always been fascinated by the art of storytelling and its ability to transport viewers to different worlds and experiences. My work is a testament to this fascination, as I strive to bring vivid and immersive environments to life through 3D artistry.

I've been a huge video game nerd my whole life and I've always been enraptured by behind the scenes "how it's made" videos. I didn't seriously consider it to be a career option until recently, though, when I picked up Blender as a COVID lockdown hobby and found it was something I could easily spend hours doing and enjoying the challenge.

Hi there! My name is Natasha. I studied concept art and illustration at CG Spectrum. As an adept generalist illustrator, I can study and replicate many styles for a project. I hope to use these skills to acquire industry experience, build a network and successfully maintain a career in art. I LOVE environment design, making game assets and projects involving young adult/ children's media. I am available for anything involving 2D illustration.

I've always liked videogames and animation, then a couple of years ago i found out what 3d modeling is and i thought: " whoa i'd love to be able to do this stuff too".

I have been interested in creative media since early childhood, making stop-motion animation on the dining room table with clay and legos. I pursued higher education in film production from the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduation I realized my true passion was animation and completed additional schooling from CG Spectrum for game design and animation.
