When I was a young gamer I bought the collector’s edition of Darksiders. It contained a small artbook of the game. It was the I realized that games actually needed to be designed and made. I was always looking more at the visuals of the game than actually playing, so I wanted to create games myself to. To this day I still love joe madureira’s art style and how it introduced me to game design.

Becoming an artist has been my dream since I remember. I've always been passionate about fine arts, especially painting, however, I've gained an interest in digital art after high school. Currently, I'm a visual arts student, specialising in game art: procedural generations & simulations and texture/material art.

When I was a kid I always used to draw and play video games, and the moment I actually tried to make video game myself I was hooked.

After studying physics for 4 years, I decided my motivation for pursuing science as a career had decreased. Dropping out, followed by some soul-searching, I came to the realisation I had never seriously considered to develop my latent creative side. This realisation, paired with my interests in digital media, and some knowledge in the area of coding, drove me to enroll in the Visual Arts course of the Creative Media and Game Technologies study at Breda University of Applied Sciences.

At 6 years old I always looked up to the people who made games, and in my Elementary school, I saw on a magazine that there where game schools. at that point in time I thought to myself. Probably only the smartest people alive would be able to be there. And now I am with one foot inside on of those schools. I am making my dream a reality and at 16 I started studying it. Now I am more than ready to face the challenges of what's to come.

In high school, I studied traditional arts. During the same period, I learned about the possibilities of 3D and digital art.

When I was young I always loved playing games. The idea of being in a digital environment that doesn't exist in real life has always impressed me. I'd always been creative and I knew wanted to make my job out of it. It was only at my previous study where I discovered 3D modeling, I liked doing it so much that I got even more inspired by playing games, because someday I knew I would be a part of it, and people will be playing my games instead.

When I started using Blender for the first time and watched a bunch of interviews of professional artists in the game industry, I finally found something I was really passionate about and could reach a professional level in.

I loved playing games since I was younger. I always wanted to know how these games were made and by who. When I found out that this was actually a thing, I immediatelly went for it and went to Mediacollege Amsterdam, studying for the education named 'Game artist'. After this education I felt like I wasn't ready to work in the industry. So I decided to go to Breda University and study for Visual Arts!

When finishing highschool, I had to think of what I wanted to do with my future. I learned about this school in Eindhoven called SintLucas in which it was possible to study game art! When visiting the open day I got really inspired and decided to enroll. after 3 year I finished SintLucas with a general understanding of programs like 3dsMax, Maya and Blender. Now I am studying game art at Breda University of Applied Sciences, and I am learning about software like Zbrush, Substance.

I have always loved video games. But it took my a while to realize I wanted to make it into a career. At first I wanted to become a pastry chef. But once I found out there was a school dedicated to video game art, I knew that was wat I wanted to do.

When I was younger, I enjoyed playing Spyro The Dragon and it established my love for fantasy worlds in video games. Since I can remember I also used to draw a lot and come up with lots of stories. So combining these two passions together is what made me come to study Visual Art at the International Game Art and Design program at Breda University of Applied Sciences. The rest is history. Thank you for looking at my work and hopefully, you enjoy some of it!

as long as I remember I have been interested in games. when I was 10 I joined a workshop in Game maker and I realized I wanted to do this for a living.

When participating in the GGJ I realized how much I enjoy the feeling of giving people an amazing or fun experience. The high of people enjoying what you made is my reason for wanting to continue on this path.

About a year before enrolling at IGAD. Discovered games in my childhood and realised I could make them around that time.

I've had the desire to create immersive and stunning environments since I was a child but I only had the opportunity to walk on the artistic path when I got accepted at my current university.

Since childhood I have always been making art. Inspired by all sorts of movies and games, I have always been drawing and creating character designs. Since I was young I always wanted to be a part of the creative industry, and right now I am going in the direction of visual 3D art for games.

Been drawing all my life and always felt like I wanted to do something with this. Also have always been involved with games and thought why not try to get into something that has both of these worlds? So I started studying in the study I am at right now, and figured out I really enjoyed animation.

When I was young, I loved the visual beauty of films and the intriguing stories they tell. I also enjoyed the immersion in games like World of Warcraft, and how they tell stories in a very different way. When I found the opportunity to study game development as an artist, I decided to learn everything about both.
