Round of applause for our sponsors

My family and I immigrated to the States from Brazil when I was just five years old. Mom and Dad were working two jobs and going to college. Even though they were busy, we all made time to watch movies together. I remember first realizing animation was a line of work after being given the VHS tape of Bambi. I became obsessed with watching and rewatching the behind-the-scenes videos of artists working to encapsulate the story and feeling of nature through art.

I began learning 3D in 2018. I have vast experience of working in Zbrush, Blender, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Maya. Sculpting, modeling, rendering and animation are my current areas of working. I also know photoshop and 2D animation, which I studied earlier in 2016

I attended art college as an illustrator back in 2012. Then it was not until my sophomore year that I discovered my interest in 3D character animation. I focused on character animation for several years until I became more interested in 3d modelling by the end of 2021. So I started taking online 3d modelling classes with AnimSchool.

I had passed 10th exams and I had to choose the field for further studies. At time I heard about this field from my brother who was helping me in deciding my career. When I heard about it, it attracted me and from there it all started.

I have always been interested in drawing and bounced through the various medias of art.... finally found my way to 3D modelling and I now know what exactly I want to lock the rest of my life into... best part about 3d is its basically just adult legos!

When first opened maya and tried to model something, then to rig it and then when i tried to move it, i liked that. Since that time I'm learning more and more in animation :)

I realized I wanted to pursue animation when I was a senior in high school back in the start of 2015. What sparked my interest was the finale to the Nickelodeon show, The Legend of Korra. It moved and inspired me so much to where I wanted to create things that could do for others what Korra did for me.

During my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, I discovered my passion for design using Photoshop. This led me to delve into 3D graphics and subsequently sparked my interest in motion graphics design. Over time, I came to realize that my true passion lies in character animation.

When I was 14 years old, I had a moment of "genius" when I realized that behind animated movies, there were individuals with jobs creating them. It was a mind-blowing realization for me. That was the first time I started to open up to the idea of working in what I loved... Storytelling! I've always had a passion for drawing, writing, and crafting worlds and characters. Even though the world of 3D didn't capture my heart until I started college in 2018, it is definitely here to stay!

I first wanted to work in the creative industry when I first started making YouTube videos when I was 13. I loved being creative and fell in love with it right away.

I always had a passion and interest in art and design and like all the teenagers, I came around with these videos showing how games and the animation industry work behind the scenes I also have an interest in games and movies as a gamer and viewer. so I decided to be part of it, pursue it as a career, and bring my creative ideas and skills to life. this is what gives me joy and the spirit to push myself hard and enjoy the process.

Been working as a graphic designer for +20 years. Want to work more in character / environmental modelling, look dev.

I've wanted to work in the creative industries for as long as I can remember. I've taken some detours along the way to work in both tech and education, and am now in the process of a career transition into game design and development.

I noticed i wanted to work in animation as i filled a carrer path test and notice nothing of what was giving me as option really fulfiled me, thats when animation sudenly came up to me.

I have enjoyed watching animated feature films since I was a little child, but I had no idea that it might be a job. I only knew I wanted to work in the film industry. And it was in high school that I decided I wanted to pursue a career as an animator.

I have always been passionate about all kinds of art. When I found out about how people create animated movies, I knew that I wanted to be part of this. Bringing characters to life through movement and acting is what inspired me the most.

I've always had an interest in live action and animated film and pretty much wanted to be a part of it since I realized it was an option.

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative industries when I was a child watching animated movies and being fascinated by how characters and stories could come to life through animation. I was drawn to the idea of using technology to bring imagination to reality and create engaging visual experiences for people to enjoy.

I worked in a different sphere than 3d modeling. I studied economics at university and started 3d as a way to find something interesting. And when I learned more about the industry I thought it would be great to work with animation or games. I was always curious about how people create such beautiful things. So I decided to change my qualification and follow my dreams.

Growing up watching movies like Treasure Planet, Road to El Dorado, Toy Story. Breaking rules of the world we live in and telling stories that are pure imagination resonates with some fundamental joy in me.

Even though I always secretly wanted to be an animator, I never thought I had the skillset (or the courage!) to pursue it so I tucked that dream away into the recesses of my mind. However, after watching a documentary about 3D animation, I soon realised that with enough dedication, passion and drive, it was certainly something attainable. This drove me to quit my job in the broadcast media industry, which was more corporate than creative, and I began to study 3D animation.

It all started with a flip book animation my cousin gave me when I was 10. I fell in love with creating my little animation on post-it notes and sharing them with others. I attended Conestoga College in 2019 and was introduced to the world of 3D animation. I've always thought of myself as a 2D animation person until then. I enjoy creating 3D models and fall for the magic of rigging. I decided to improve my skills by enrolling AnimSchool's 3D Character program in 2021.

I never grew up doing art but after discovering Blender when I was 17 I completely fell in love. I've grown to especially love modelling and texturing stylized characters and environments and strive to improve my work everyday!
