Round of applause for our sponsors

I've known I wanted to pursue art ever since I could hold a crayon. Growing up, I watched a lot of 2D animated Disney films and would always focus on the movements and flow of the characters on the screen. I would slow videos down to see the in-betweens and study how the animators utilized smears and keys to create an action (something I still do today). I have a strong passion for 2D animation and design; I want to create and ignite inspiration for younger generations as my seniors have for me.

When i was little i was drawing for a long time then later in college i decided i wanted to work creative industry

I've always enjoyed videogames and drawing, but it wasn't until I was told about DigiPen when I realized I had a chance to bring those two passions into my future career.

I first realized I wanted to work in a creative industry after watching movies and seeing all the neat designs such as the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. I always found myself paying more attention to the designs rather than the plot. From there, I bought artbooks and started creative hobbies like drawing where I put my ideas on paper. When I create something, I strive to create an impact for someone. I want to create structures and props that feel very unique and immerse viewers.

Coming from a family of artist I've considered art as one of my strengths since childhood. I've always excelled in creative fields and as an adult it became very obvious this was the path I should take for a career.

I first realized I wanted to pursue a creative job while watching Gravity Falls. Seeing how you can put a little extra story into even just individual frames made me want to do something similar. With how each episode had its own mystery to decipher and how the people who interacted with those stories would go so deep into analyzing it. I loved unraveling the stories they told and want to give others the same experience.

I've been working on my art skill since I was 9. It just always seem liked I would end up in the creative fields, as I can't really picture myself doing anything else. Any time I look at any films or listen to music, part of me always manages to get inspired and want to create. What I want most of all is for my work to help inspire more people to create any type of art. I still got a ways to go, but I'm getting there

I've been watching animated shows and movies and playing games ever since I was a child, and I was always fascinated by how they were created. It's been a near lifelong dream of mine to create the same kinds of animations that I grew up watching and playing.

Art is something that I always come back to since I was a little kid. I used to live in my imaginary world a lot back then. Now that I can bring those imaginations to life, I can't help but find it super fun!

I knew I wanted to be apart of the creative industry pretty late in the game. I always loved games and movies but it wasn't until high school when I really got serious about my art and started to pursue a career in it. I loved the idea that I was able to create something that didn't exist, look like it did. I love lighting, texture, and moody scenes; and of course creating a scene with strong story telling.

I grew up playing video games with my mom and I loved how immersive they were and how they blended narrative and play. I've always loved art so in about middle school I decided it would be perfect to blend the two and pursue art in game dev!

After my first year of college at UW Seattle wanting to pursue marine biology at first, I then realized it was not for me and I decided to pursue a side-hobby of mine at first and wanted to convert it into a career. From illustration translating to 2D then 3D game animation, my love for the craft has developed with my skills and I aim to be nothing more than the best working professional I can be for any team or project.

From a very young age, I was interested in gaming and the creativity behind it, like so many others. When I was finishing High School, I toured DigiPen and fell in love with the passion all over again. The way games and entertainment in general connects people together is astounding and I want nothing more than to add to that joy in the world.

When I was a kid, I had always loved to create art. So I thought I'd work in the art industry when I grew up! So now, here I am.

Art has been a part of my life for a long time, exploring various mediums over the years. With a passion for both video games and creative expression, I chose to pursue an art degree at DigiPen.

Ever since I was young I wanted to be an animator. I always loved drawing growing up and that was the only thing I was good at. I struggled a lot in school due to learning disabilities but excelled in my art/creative classes.

Creativity has always been an essential part of how I interact with the world. Creating and sharing art is how people explore the world express their feelings, and empathize with one another. I've loved making art ever since I was really young. I decided to turn it into a career so I could develop my skills and bring them to the next level.

I've always found enjoyment in creating worlds, and I am always striving to experiment and build upon new techniques to create even better worlds

Art and storytelling have always been a big part of my life. I can't see myself doing anything else.

Since I was young I've had interests in the arts and grew up playing video/online games. I was interested working in a creative industry during high school. I attended an arts college program called WaNIC under Digipen Institute of Technology, where I would reside for college.
