Rookie entry
Hello, I am Sophie Nippert, a 3rd year (and soon to be 4) student at the ESMA Montpellier school in France. I hope you're going to like my projects.
Hello, I am third year -soon to be 4th- student at the ESMA Montpellier School in France. For the past 3 years, I've been studying 3D and animation and I am now getting specialized in lighting, texturing and sculpting. I am mostly working on Maya with Renderman but I'm very open to learn new softwares. For sculpting, I use mudbox and a little bit of Zbrush (which is quite complicated !). I hope you're gonna like my projects !
The first project I am showing you is the digital self portrait that was a school project. The homework was mostly about being as close as real life, but I did have a bit of fun with the compositing at the end. We had to photoscan ourselves, sculpt, texture, light, and render.
Here are some more neutral pictures with a simple lighting.
Another fun take.
The "facade" was a project where we had to imagine a whole construction, draw it, model it, sculpt it, texture it, and on and on... This was very fun. I chose an Alsatian house with a mix of princess vibes. Very out of my comfort zone !
The insect was a school project in which we had to imagine an insect in the environment of our choice. I chose to do a medium spider with glowing mushrooms and witchy vibes. We learned to use mash and paint effect on maya with this project. It was also very enjoyable. I named her Elise !
The fur ball was the quickest but not so easier project. We had to imagine a stylized animal. I chose to do a snow leopard treated as a spoiled kitty in a castle.
A very simple ground test on Substance designer I tried doing solo by following youtube tutorials. It was long but very rewarding. Rendered with Marmoset.
and at last; first year projects. Old times with lots of mistakes but I still like them a bit.
Thank you for reading my entry, I hope you liked my projects !
