I wanted to make a polished prop for a main character in an adventure setting, for climbing purposes and hiking in general. This backpack is modelled in Maya 3D and some parts are skulpted in Zbrush. The texture in handpainted in Substance designer and the prop is rendered in Substance Designer.
I also spent some time for fun making it come alive with an experimental rig I made in Maya. I was inspired by how the backpacks move when the operators in Rainbow Six Siege move and run, and thought this backpack could be used for similar real time movement!
