Update - 19 Apr 2021
Update for the start of this week is that I completed the rocks for the scene and placed the majority of them. Overall I'm happy with how they are looking.
This week I plan on completing the terrain textures and material. As well as start working on the foliage.

I spent some time away from this project to work on some other things as i simply wasn't enjoying what i was doing before. I have decided I want to use this contest as a way to try something new and learn some cool new modelling techniques. I have always gone for realism and never tried a stylized approach to modelling so once again I'm changing my project. In the last few days of learning about it and working on some stuff I've found I enjoy working on this project at last.
Update - 1 Apr 2021
Spent some time away from this project over the last weekend. I realised I wasn't happy with my layout and initial design. Since then I have opened it up and reworked the landscape.
I'm reasonably new to unreal and I had to do some tests for grass, first few iterations were overly stylized and I was able to get something I was happy with on my 3rd version.

Started working on my block out, the scene does have quite large with a lot of open space currently.
Update - 24 Mar 2021
For my entry I will be creating a vast alien planet with giant rocky obelisks scattered throughout the environment. This scene is inspired by the piece by Pixel Cat https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rAermG. I will be putting my own touch on this concept.
