A Psycho, a soldier and a sword

First Project - Borderlands Psycho

Original concept by Christophe Young and Sergi Brosa. Bit of passion project being a big Borderlands fan, I wanted something drastically different from the soldier you'll see below to challenge myself in new areas and keep exploring.

Figuring out the hair

The hair on the psycho was quite a challenge to figure out as I wanted to have the puffiness of a pompadour while keeping the spikes of a good punkrock and post apocalyptic look. Some good referencing and a lot of experimenting with different flows led me to the results you can see below.

Soldier - Gui Yuan

Original Concept by Gui Yuan. This piece allowed me to tackle a lot of new challenges suchs as plate armor and layering all the different belts and clothes. It allowed me to learn a lot about planning and setting up a quick block out of all the pieces to understand the whole dynamic of the character.

Claymore

I used this smaller project to blow off some steam and work some more on steel texturing. I spent a great time in substance and am happy with how this mean sword turned out.
