Vulcanic alien World
I used Unreal the first time 3 months ago and learned a lot since then. Now I hope that I can test my skills and get some good feedback along the way and learn a lot more. My idea is to make a Vulcano lake in an alien world. I will use some crazy colour variations and other stuff to make it look, Alien.
Update - 16 Mar 2021
After I realized my ideas and put my references together I started to create my Basic height map using Terrercreator.
UPDATE 20.03
I imported my Hight map into Unreal and created basic blocking and shaders.
In my next steps, I will make better shaders and start adding foliage.
Update 25.03
I made everything a bit more pretty, now it's time for some colors and plants.

I Worked on the landscape Material and added Foliage to the grass part of the Material.

I finished my Material and tweaked around a bit with post effect and glow to make the world a bit more colorful.
I would like your feedback on it :D is it to mush?
I got some bad feedback about my colorful images, so I thought I change them and remove some of that horrible shadows. and added a building so the scene becomes a bit more interesting.

Here is my final update, I really liked working on this project.
I've learned a lot in the course of the project, I can tell by how much I would and could do better. but that tells me that the next project can only get better.
the whole landscape is made Procedural I only used Foliage for the trees.
my Final images were rendered on a Gtx 1080, I still got to around 60 FPS on High graphics settings, thanks to virtual textures. sadly I could not try out to work with ray tracing.
