is about the character in the book called a kitsune: Which means half fox half human they can hide their fox ear and tail but when they are near the mirror it reveals.

"What do you see?" he asked as he always did I looked at the mirror. My reflection gazed back at me, a slight girl of sixteen winters. Straight black hair, orange ears and bushy tail wearing a white sash and a short red kimono.
