Hydra, also called the Lernean Hydra is a gigantic water-snake-like monster with many heads, one of which is immortal. Anyone who attempted to behead the Hydra found that as soon as one head was cut off, two more heads would emerge from the fresh wound.

The Lernaean Hydra, more often known simply as the Hydra, is a serpentine water monster in Greek and Roman mythology. Lerna was reputed to be an entrance to the Underworld.

I decided to contrast the blue tones of the monster (it's a water creature) with the fire of hell (the underworld).

I also wanted to try an option with green fire, which brings to mind the evil and the danger.

I wanted my hydra to be almost musical, as if each head was a different style of music. Each one is unique and has is own personnality.
