Mi Kombi

This is my concept currently. It might change in the future. Could possibly do a different design. depends on how the paint looks when applied. I have never painted a model that I haven't created myself. Seems ok so far, but the real test is when the paint is applied. 

I really like the color transition here. The shredding design looks nice. Im going to try to blend these two references.

I haven't ever blended colors in 3D. Only with real aerosol paint. My goal here is to paint this truck, just like I would using spray paint. I think I will alter the actual paint design. Something with sharp angles and cuts. Something similar to the Hot Wheels van reference, but maybe a bit dynamic. More "cowbell" if you will.

Adding some paint effects. I think in real life, decals are used. Im approaching this like i would with aerosol cans. Apply the paint, then erase/mask it off. This makes me kind of want to create my own stencils, but im enjoying the freestyle painting process.

Added some paint. Wanted to make some sharp and dynamic designs, while still respecting the shape & curves of the van. Im using symmetry, but im still getting some artifacts on the other side. The fixes arent too crazy, so i dont mind. Substance painter cleans things up nicely.
