I decided to take this in a slightly different direction.  Was somewhat inspired by old 80s tech like the Tomy Robot for the eyes.  Hope you like :)

really excited to join this contest,  I love the design of this little guy! 

 I don't have much of a concept idea worked out so the texture design may change as it progresses :)
