The Illustrious Eddie

For my entry into the Eddie texture painting competition I have decided to base my design off of ancient Chinese gold and silver inlaying. I first saw Zhelong Xu an artist who I really admire draw inspiration from this for a texturing piece, so I decided to do my own research into the craft to incorporate into my design as I really like the intricacy of the craft. I have set out a basic outline of what I'd like to achieve and collected some reference images to draw inspiration from. I have started on the texturing and have got the base bronze material down (the greenish blue oxidization needs some work). I have kept everything mostly procedural for now so I can change things as I go and aim not to do too much painting until the end.
