Piero L. S. Folly - Character Art

This is a project part of my demo-reel at Gnomon based on a character of the Silmarillion book. Tulkas is one of the deities of Middle-earth, champion of the Vala, and god of physical feats. In Tolkien's writings, there's very little description of him, and since I was a kid it was a challenge to try to interpret his aesthetics, which I always intuitively assumed as being of a superhero. Albeit, when I found Steamey's concept art, it connected perfectly and I decided to bring it to life as a 3D model based on her visual readings together with a bit of my detailing ideations on top.

I've made secondary texturing ideations for the armor along the way that would fit the character "worn-out" style better and merged with the primary pristine one.
