Stabby: An Animated Short Film

"A hermit crab with an obsession for shiny objects causes trouble when he runs off with a woman’s wedding ring."

This short film was created and produced at SCAD Animation during the 2019-2020 school year. It was a VFX-heavy animation production that consisted of hair, cloth, grain, and fluid simulation. The pipeline transitioned from Maya after character animation to Houdini for FX, lighting, and rendering with Arnold for Houdini (HtoA 5). All compositing took place in Nuke and the final edit was made in Premiere Pro.

This film will premiere at SCAD Animation's 2020 Spring Showcase, streaming live on Sunday, June 7 2020 at 7:30 PM EDT.
