David de Vigne | VFX
Hello everyone! My name is David de Vigne, and I am a 3D artist from New Zealand. I am currently focusing on modeling, texturing and animation, but also trying to dabble more in FX Simulation. I've put together some of the projects I've done so far this year. I hope you enjoy!
Messerschmitt Bf 109
I am a huge fan of world war 2 fighter aircraft, and one of my all-time favourite planes is the Messerschmitt Bf 109. This is a short animated I rendered to showcase the model I made. I was responsible for all aspects of the project.
Modeling and animation were both done in Maya, and I used Substance Painter for the texturing. The final animation was then composed using Nuke.
Retro-tech Mat
Substance run it's second Meet Mat contest, and this was my entry, Retro-tech Mat. If Mat was a home assistance from 1999 packed with all the tech goodness of today, this is what he may have looked like!
I was responsible for texturing and rendering which were both done in Substance Painter.
Modern Frag Grenade
This was a game asset I created while practicing hard surface modeling, with an animated pin release and button.
Modeling and rendering were done in Maya, and Photoshop and Substance Painter were used for texturing.
