Hi i'm Rene Kovac, a character concept artsit/ illustrator with 3D modelling experience. I am currently a 3rd year games design student at the Universty of Central lancashire, due to graduate in a few months. The work I showcase here is work I have done during my final year at uni with some fan-art and illustrations.

Peaceful Isolation- The landscape shows an old building resting on the prairie. A landscape to show the world these Slavic gods are in and watch over.

The building was inspired by an old real life Slavic building from the 17fth century.

HEIMDALLR UFO HUNTER SKIN- This was a fan art character skin concept I did for the Hi-Rez Studios Community Art Show. My art work was featured in episode 3 of the show.

The idea behind this skin was very funky and fun. Heimdallr is a Norse god and is known as the watcher and the one that sounds the horn of Ragnarok. So I put a modern day spin on this by making Heimdallr a 80s goofy geeky UFO hunter, a conspiracy theory lunatic with a tin foil hat that throws Area 51 signs at people instead of axes. He always keeps his eyes in the skies, always watching.

3 Week Game Jam- The Kovach Test

All models and textures in the video were made by me. Video editing and video rendering was done by my game jam team member- Nicola Hynes

The Kovach Test- This was a 3 week long game jam I did as part of my uni's third year module structure at the begining of the academic year. The Kovach Test is a 1st person  pyschological  horror game based around moral decision making.

This was a group project of 6 members. I had the role of 3D modelling and texturing. I used Maya, Substance Painter and UE4 during this project.

Here are some presentation sheets of all the assets I created and textured within those 3 weeks.

Thank you for stopping by!
