2020 Lighting and VFX Collection
Hello, I'm Warren Bradley, I started my journey into visual effects 6 months ago and have just completed my Graduate Certificate In Dynamic Effects and Lighting with Rising Sun Pictures, South Australia. Here is a small sample of what I created during my 3 months with them.
All shots created with Houdini 17.5 and composited with Nuke.
Here is a short breakdown of my final shot from the Dynamic Effects and Lighting Course:
1: The original plate from an abandoned bus depo.
2: Reprojected the plate onto 3D geometry in Houdini and then simulated the car hitting the wall and animated it driving off, and then fractured the wall.
3: Added the Dust and Wall particulates from the car hitting the wall. Then added the car model.
4: Added the tire smoke/dust from the car losing control and added slight tires skids on the ground.
5: Added the upper volumetric lights via Nuke and the central light through the hole with houdini and finally colour graded the image.
