I am Sakura, a Year 2 Animation student at Nanyang Polytechnic: School of Interactive and Digital media. Apart from animating, I like making fanart in my own time. The following works are 2D animations and some art pieces that I have done as school assignments, as well as for personal enjoyment.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello! Thank you for visiting my page.

From a young age, I aspired to become an artist. in recent years I decided to pursue the path of becoming an animator. While I am still developing my skills, I hope to be a skillful 2D animator in the future who inspire others, just like how many animators and artists inspired me in my life.

I hope you will enjoy seeing my works!

2D Animations

From September to early October 2019, I had the opportunity to go for an exchange programme involving my school and Rangsit University Thailand.

My team named Team Sawadeelah were to produce an animation that showcased Singapore and Thailand's cultures as the programme deliverable, and we conveyed that through fast-paced transitions and fun visuals.

This is my cut from the whole animation, which spans for about a minute long in total.

Stranger Danger

Don't follow strangers that give you candy! This is a school assignment using Adobe Animate 2D rigging.

Some rough animations I did in my own time for the franchise "Jojo's Bizarre Adventures". Two are reanimated scenes from the TV series and one is referenced from a comic panel.

Milking for Fame

My final product for my school Studio Project 2, done over 3 weeks. Animated traditionally on paper then scanned digitally.

Story synopsis:

An obnoxious social media star with a big ego is in a supermarket. He decides to film himself pulling a “prank” by taking a sip from a milk carton and putting it back to the shelf. Before he could do so, the milk carton comes alive to teach him a lesson. The scene is viewed through his smartphone in which he places down at the beginning.

Life of Pi: Animated Title Intro

Animated using paper cut-out technique, paint on surface (chalk on chalkboard) and edited in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, this title sequence for Life of Pi is referenced from a few scenes in the movie. This was for a school assignment.
