These are some of my best shots that I´ve animated in student short films at Media Design school, as well as in personal projects, exploring techniques and different approaches to animation

Salvager was a student short film, realized in a team production of Media Design School, I worked in the short film with motion capture, learned the process and I also used a lot of the Layer system in Maya and translated the mocap from MotionBuilder.  Also, I used key animation in many of the shots. And was in charge of the layout department. It was a great challenge getting the animation to match the actor's neck, and dealing with pipeline issues and technical issues that required creative thinking and approach. Overall a great experience

Here there are a couple of the shots I worked for a student short film, I was the art director of the project, and the character designer of the film, facial rigger, as well as one of the 2 animators of the team, between the two characters Cupid, and Hephaestus I animated all the shots with Heaphy. It was a great opportunity to give exaggerated big expressions, but still with the limitation of the beard and mustache as it covers the mouth. It was also a good place to apply my knowledge of 2D animation to animate in 2´s on 3D, because the visual style we were going for was a 2D animation look, and with it, it comes to a lot of different elements such as the silhouette and profile of the character. which had to be modified on the rig to be able to reach the poses of the original drawings. My team of 7 people, I was art direcKimberley Douangdara was in charge of the modeling, rendering, and lighting. Danielle Craighead was in charge of texturing, modeling. Mariana Xavier was the director, writer, and animator. Nisarga Kashyap was Producer, rigger, and compositor. Yian Zhao, was the prop designer, editor, 2D visuals animator, and compositor. Yao Wu, was an environment designer, 2D elements animator, concept artist, texturer and compositor.
