Random selection from 2019-2020
These are some of the pieces I have worked on this past year. I think of them as practice and learning experiences (integration of 3D workflow, use of pictures, etc.).
Happy 2020 :D
I decided to upload some of the projects I have worked on this year (personal and others). I hope you guys enjoy my random selection.
Can't wait to see next year's improvements!!!
"2020 by Dante Alighieri"
In memory of this year of chaos and bad luck. Stay safe and positive!
A-LMA CHIROPRACTOR
Chiropractor mech-bed. I still think that there is nothing better than a couple of hands for that job, but... Here's something a little more unconventional!
The main body of the bed is composed of an air pumping system based on pneumatic technology for robotics (a real thing :-D). I thought it'd be cool to integrate pressure hammers as well as electric stimulation within the skeleton (situated inside the silicone-based material case).
PANDORA'S BOX
Here's is a different take on Pandora's Box. I thought it would be nice to make a living organism out of it. The design is heavily based on fetal poses and phallic shapes.
When this entity passes away, it exposes the 'seed' unleashing a cacophony of bleats for days. Then ereases all living organisms on the planet, giving space for new forms of life (working as a reboot). The seed will grow to secure this biorythm.
STATUE PUZZLE
Originally I thought of needing a key to activate the statues that would later on turn into ferro magnetic liquid (really cool physics, check it out). These would run towards the main statue and suddenly melt again to filter below that main statue. once all of the keys were used, the main statue would conjure the "so desired" object that your character would need to continue the story.
DARTH VADER REDESIGN
A fun assignment for this past January. Based on middle eastern culture, I had to give a new image to the lord Sith
I found the sandals a curious choice, so I decided to go with it.
THE ESCAPE
A project done from a brief: " A 4-arm mechanical being escapes from its containment cell". I took inspiration on Feng Zhu's ideas for Grievous arms.
FLAMINGOS
A fun exersice that taught me Octane and Grease Pencil (Blender).
Thanks for taking the time to check my work. See you all next year!
