I am responsible for all assets except the hair. The hair was created by Rebecca Baker.
This was a project where I created a digital sculpt of my late Grandfather. He passed in 2016 and it wasn't until after I learned that he had funded my education from preschool to high school. As a tribute to him, I created this sculpt as a bust, not only to be rendered but to be 3D printed for my mother.
In the process view above are the different render layers: Beauty, Wireframe, Diffuse, Specular, Transmission, respectively.
He was sculpted in Zbrush, retopologized in Topogun2, textured using Mari and Substance Painter, and finally brought into Maya and rendered in Arnold.
Flipped Normals Warlock Challenge:
Here is my character Kthaldrac! He is my latest project and was my submission into the Flipped Normals Warlock Challenge. Link to my process thread below:
I am responsible for all aspects except his original concept. He is inspired by the concept art of Gabriel Ramos as you can see in the link below:
However, unlike the concept I wanted to emphasize the unnatural elements of the character. Thus, I added several horns spouting all from his back and tentacles instead of feet.
He was sculpted and textured painted solely in Zbrush. Retopologized, lit and rendered in Maya. Photoshop was also used to touch up textures.
