I am a fantasy illustrator who dreams of doing freelance illustration for a living. I love creating characters and stories, as well as illustrating characters for others. In the end, I love to paint and want to find a way to unleash that upon the world (and get paid for it!) Find me on twitter @cassidyravelle!

This was one of the last paintings I did for school, and features two characters in a story and world I dabble in when I have the time. It is called Divine Curse, and the main cast are "heroes" chosen by the gods to slay demons. It delves into themes of religious faith and corruption, war, and self discovery.

This is another character from the Divine Curse, and I suppose she would be the main character if it were a novel. Her design was a blast to come up with, and it was really fun to draft armour that was simultaneously visually appealing and believable.

These characters are from another story of mine, though it is less developed than Divine Curse. It involves a princess who travels to find the dragon who gave magic to her bloodline in order to protect her civilization from war.

Tess is a character from an art roleplay group on Deviantart.com called Arcem Alva. The story is high fantasy with themes of war, political intrigue, and faith, and spans multiple continents with hundreds of characters and players. Tess herself is a mage-breaking caster called a sage, and uses a silver-bladed saber to cast and cut apart spells. She is a former pirate who really just wants to have a good time, but the apocalypse is making that kind of hard.

I did this painting in celebration of Halloween, because I just felt like I needed a vampire lady in my portfolio. My favourite parts are her bottom foot and the dress above it, as well as the bottom gargoyle. I just love his face. A nasty boy, but a good boy.

This is a set of portrait illustration commissions I did for a couple of clients on FlightRising.com. I really adore doing small-time commission work like this, because I get to work with a wide variety of people and paint a myriad of different characters. I really wish I could make a living off of this type of work because I would do it forever if I could!
