Portfolio Swann Valenza 2019 - 2020
Hello there ! This is the best-of my work of this year ! I hope you'll like it !
MoPA DIDAC DOC - Cistude :
This is a group project !
The big project of our second year was to create an educational film about a turtle populating the waters of the Camargue, in France.
Our short film is 3 minutes long, and I made it alongside Baptiste Duchamps, Maxime Foltzer, Julien Coetto and Robin Beltran.
I was responsible of the character modelling, texturing, some props modelling and texturing, some animation, some compositing and sound design.
Character design and modelling :
Concept art by me and Robin Beltran :
Compositing :
Zombie Head :
This is my latest personnal project !
I wanted to relax a bit with a no-brainer project, and I found myself discovering grooming and testing new things in sculpting and texturing.
It was really cool to create something disgusting ! I had a lot of fun !
Done with 3ds Max, V-Ray, Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Nuke and Photoshop.
Turn around and break down :
10 seconds :
This project was a 10 second loop animation on the theme of space.
It was the first time I had to make a viable character for animation, as well as the first time that I was really going to animate something. This exercise taught me a lot, and I had a lot of fun doing it !
I used 3ds Max, V-Ray, Zbrush, Substance Painter, After Effect, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Nuke.
I spent a lot of time working on the textures, and I learned pretty much all I know today about modelling hard surface !
Rhino Warrior :
This character is also a personnal project !
My goal was to make a complete character in less than 1 week ;
I did it on 3ds Max, V-Ray, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
Concepts and break down :
Frozen in time :
This work was an imaginary landscape exercise made for school.
My goal was to create a post-apocalyptic landscape, while keeping a poetic and original image ; So I imagined a scene where Big Ben was found trapped in ice, maybe after a tsunami submerged it and an ice age froze it.
I worked a lot on the composition, trying to get something calm but still dynamic. I wanted the wave to be visible, without being noticed from the first look !
This was my first big CG project at school, I used 3ds Max, V-Ray, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Nuke and Photoshop.
Concept art and step by step break down ;
Thanks for your attention, I hope you enjoyed my work !
