3D and 2D Concept Artist!
Hello!! All the work shown here is from the last 6 months except for the paintings, which I did roughly 1 year ago. I use a lot of 3D in my work to bring to life stories and ideas that I have in head! 3D gives me a lot of speed, specially Zbrush and Blender which help me to visualise quickly what I have on mind.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CHAMPION DESIGN PLUS KEYART
This project was giving at Uni, we had to design a character for league of legends.
My character, which name probably is not the best, Ignis Solaris is a cursed warrior.
When he was about to die in a fire, he made a path with the death prolonging his life but at the same time cursing him. His armour merged with his body and his abdomen became a forge. The only way he can remove his armour is by forging a sword.
This character is a tank who can become DPS for a short period of time. In normal mode he uses his fists to attack and defend himself but once his ultimate is ready, he uses his forge to bring out a sword wrapped in fire.
I wanted to use some symbolism in the design, so I went for an animal, in this case a rhino, who represents strength and size. As you can see, his armour resembles a rhino.
In the above image, I wanted to represent some of his attacks and abilities
Below we can see the Zbrush models I did base on my sketches, Then I took them to Photoshop to paint over in order to get the character sheets and Key art.
Sunny Desert Scene - Octane Practice
This is a personal project that didn't succeed but was fun to work on.
Also, first time trying Octane and animations on Blender!
1920's Journalist Apartment
In these shots I wanted to contrast calm before the storm, main character found out that his partner has been killed, so he is slowly falling into darkness, deciding between taking justice by his own hand or let the bad guy get away with it.
I know that this is mostly 3D renders but I love doing concepts in 3D and telling a story, so in this case I tried to go for a cinematic look using the realism that the 3D gives.
SCI FI Scene - VFX COLLAB PROJECT WIP
Collab Project for Uni, Storyboard and Key Art
Group of 2
Juan David Higuera Gomez (Myself)
Gonzalo Morgado
Using the spaceship interior that my group mate designed and modelled, I created these shots doing the layout, lightning and render in Blender.
I designed and modelled the rest of the assets shown in the images. (Ghostship, Salvageship) Excluding the austronaunts which I only modelled the helmets using Zbrush
Renders done in Cycles
Paintings and Colour Studies
Billie Eilish Portrait
Inocencio X Colour Study
Fruits that I had at home :)

Anatomy Study in Zbrush
Last but not least, anatomy study in Zbrush and rendered in Cycles
Started from polyshpere and without symetry (except for the head) all the way to the final sculpt, took me around 12 to 15 hours.
Thanks for checking my artwork ^^
