Building Worlds

Spectre is a team project that I did in college. It was interesting and fun because we were able to experiment with the combination of two different elements together, which is the cyberpunk element and traditional Chinese element. 

SPECTRE - In this world, there exist two different realms, the human realm and the spirit realm. Various souls from the other side decide to break through to the human realm by possessing humans, causing havoc and destruction to the city of Neo-China. AGSD, Anti-Ghost Service Department was created, they are tasked to maintain the peace and balance between these two realms.

World Rebirth is an individual project. The concept started with thinking about what if trees were glowing and had electric in them. "What kind of jobs would the people have then? Is the creature glowing like the trees too? Can we use the trees as a source of energy?" 

Flooded World, this is an ongoing project that I plan to expand. I thought of a problem, "What if our world became flooded with water".  Then I came up with solutions and ideas, for example, how transportation would be like and what will the environment look like.

I was interested in "The Falkirk Wheel", that is located in Scotland. It can exchange boat from higher ground to lower ground, which inspired me to create a train station that can exchange trains from land to water.

This is another concept painting that I did. It's a nature-based environment with many rock monuments that have become flooded.

During one of my semester breaks, I decided to start my own mini-project that is based on Chinese culture.

I did a template beforehand to settle the complicated Chinese architecture design.

Spirit of Thai, this is a concept based on a story. 

"A little Thai girl was spirited away into the spirit realm, there she met a spirit guide. The spirit guide sympathized with the girl and decided to help her to find her way back."
