Science Fiction Rapunzel

For this project I wanted to create a science-fiction character inspired by the classic fairy tale: Rapunzel. I tried to incorporate a way in which the character could use her hair in relation to both the original story and the new genre that I had added. 

When first creating Rapunzel, I used a variety of different silhouettes to capture a range of different potential appearances. 

I then took my two favourite silhouettes and developed them further. I experimented with both form and silhouette. 

Out of those developed silhouettes I then created twelve different outfit designs. 

I then chose my preferred outfit ideas and added colours to further develop the character. By using a large range of colours I could avoid limiting myself. 

I also wanted to make sure that I tried a range of designs for her face.
