Victoria Murray: Compositing/ Lighting Artist
Hello! I am a recent graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University with an honours degree in Computer Games Art and Animation. Below is a showcase of my best work created for my final year. I am looking to specialise in compositing and lighting.
This was my favourite project I did at university. The brief allowed us to create any project we wanted. To further my understanding of the entire VFX pipeline I decided to create everything myself. I learned a lot about shooting photography for VFX, creating HDRI's, lighting, and multichannel compositing.
I took on this project to practice my matchmoving and colour correction skills. The matchmove was difficult due to the motion blur but I am very happy with the end result.
Concept, matchmoving, animation, lighting and compositing were done by myself.
The footage and HDRI were shot by Simon Haslett via GCU
The Dinosaur rig belongs to "Truong CG Artist" via Gumroad and can be found at: https://gumroad.com/l/raptorrig
SHORT FILM: TITAN OF CINEMA
I worked with one other teammate to create a short film to advertise the museum exhibition "Ray Harryhausen: Titan of Cinema". The characters and story are based off of Ray Harryhausens work in "Jason and the Argonauts"
In the two shots featured here:
Modelling/ texturing of Talos, animation, lighting, rotoscoping and compositing were done by myself.
Camera footage, skeletons, shields, swords and map models/ rigs were made by my teammate. The cup and can models are from Turbosquid.

SHOT TWO
This was my first matchmoving project. It helped me learn about cloth simulation.
