CONCEPT
“HARMONY OF ANTITHESIS”
The design was inspired by the food presentation of Odette. Food presentation is an art through the decorating and arranging the food to enhance its aesthetic appeal. The food will impact sensory system of diners from visual and taste; use different skills and ingredients to the decorate will create a great food presentation to inspire diners. Hence, the keywords that extracted from there are unity, contrast and asymmetrical balance. The concept model is used 3 solid and 1 framed square boxes to create, the framed box as a center point to linked the solid boxes around it to represent the concept of unity and asymmetric balance. The different height and material boxes as well as the rectangle board around is going to create a contrast between them and created a pop up focal point at the center of the concept.
The interior design of the restaurant have a glass-enclosed open kitchen is going to connect the chefs and diners, diners have the opportunity to witness the chefs at work, to reflecting the openness and honesty of Odette. Two dining spaces with high ceiling design is trying to create an focal point and bring different dining experience to diners. Interior design with soft color tone, simple element, water feature and decorate with many plants to bring more green and natural into spaces, to presenting the cooking philosophy of chef Julien Royer which is adding “little something“ and present the purest flavors of food as well as back to mother nature, try to create a comfortable and friendly space.
