Infected X2
In this teaser trailer, everyone suddenly becomes sick and the protagonist is hit by a car and wakes up in a hospital, unknowingly he has been asleep for 20 years and finds out the city looks very different than he remembers. How is he alive and why did everything change?
Hello everyone, Infected X2 is the first 2D animation I made. I did this teaser trailer/ cutscene last semester for a game art class, I wish I could have added more to the animation like the parkour scenes in my storyboard but I was short on time because I got a bit carried away on the environment.
The story is about a young man who gets infected and is hospitalised, he wakes up 20 years later and realises the city he grew up in has changed and humanity is facing new threats.
I first came up with the story last year for my first 3D animation project and used some of my 3D scenes as a reference for this 2D version reboot.
I liked making the colourful environments in photoshop. The MEP style animation was done in After Effects using puppet pins. Hope you enjoy!
