Go Fetch is a short film I completed over my senior year at Ringling College of Art + Design. I am responsible for all aspects of the film from pre-production to final rendering. The film is about a tennis ball who runs away from his tortured life as a dog's chew toy in hopes of finding happiness at the tennis court.

My film is privately listed as I submit to film festivals. It will release publicly later on this year.

Character Development

Wilson was a fun character to work with. I really enjoyed fine tuning his groom and texting to give him the weathered look that's vital to his character. He's able to move differently than human characters and I had a lot of fun finding fun rhythms and poses while animating him.

The dog is one of my favorite parts of the film.  He offered a great chance to study  quadruped anatomy, movement, and animation. I also was able to pull from my own experiences and memories with my own dogs in order to make him feel more authentic. He's fittingly named him after my dog Harry.

Progression: Storyboards -> Layout -> Final Render

I iterated constantly as I created Go Fetch.  From the story boards to the final product the film changed a lot in order to tell the story as entertaining as possible. Every part of the process was a constant work in progress for the duration of my production.
