Personal Story

This is a story I am currently still developing. It doesn't have a name yet. The story is about this 16 year old girl named Emma. She lives in NY and she's obsessed with social media. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her dad, who is an official in a secret organization. When her dad is sent in a year long classified mission, Emma is forced to go live with her mom, in Africa. Her mom is a conservationist who is fighting to protect the Maasai Mara Natural Reserve, one of the few left in the world, from being destroyed for profit. 

A few months after arriving, Emma's mom gets kidnapped. It is Emma's job to try and find her with the help of Baako, one of the Maasai warriors. In their journey to find Emma's mom, Emma becomes more apreciative of the beauty of nature and wildlife.

In this image I wanted to show the relationship between Baako and Emma. In the beginning, they don't get along. Emma is too focused on her phone and trying to get signal, that she ignores everything that Baako is showing her. It's not until her phone dies that she begins to realize that nature and wildlife is not as bad after all.

Sci-Fi Concept

Underwater Concept

For this project, I created an underwater concept for a game. This game is based on Atlantis. When the sea swallowed Atlantis, the Gods placed a creature to ensure that no one leaves or comes into the city. The point of the game is to escape the creature to find a solution as to why the water is getting polluted.

Robin was the daughter of a mechanic who had an obsession with robots. When she was little, he would tell her all about a hidden world where robots lived peacefully, a place that no human had ever seen. Society deemed her father a lunatic and they institutionalized him as they believe that robots aren’t real. When her father died, Robin found several notebooks filled with research and sketches about this hidden world. She knew her dad wasn’t crazy and so, she decided to prove it by finding this place. In her journey, she found a little robotic creature who was injured, and as she was a mechanic like her father, she decided to fix him up. The little creature immediately felt fond of her. With his help, they continued the journey to the hidden robotic land.

I based my creature  on a ferret. I played with photobashing techniques to create the metallic look.

A Friendly Village

For this project, I wanted to play with brighter colors and an overall more whimsical look. If you look closely, there is a cat in one of the windows and one of the clouds is shaped like an elephant.
