Sunny Chan - 3D Character Animation

All of the animations are done during my study at SCAD Savannah from 2016 Fall to 2019 Spring, with tremendous support from my family, friends and teachers. Titles in chronological order are "No Girls Allowed, Captain!", "Godspeed", "Slash and Smash", "Self Defense" and "Him".

[00:01 - 00:24] - "No Girls Allowed, Captain!"

This is a 3-shot acting performance animation with Zoey Rig (characterrigs.com) and Paul Rig (Long Winter Studios). The dialogue for the first two shots is from the TV series "Fresh off the Boat" and the dialogue in the last shot is my voice tweaked to a higher pitch.

I'm responsible for animation, layout, sound effects and motion graphics on the monitors. Lighting credit to my friend, Brian Lesiangi.

[00:24 - 00:56] - "Godspeed" Shot 06-13 (Work in Progress)

This is a work-in-progress extract from my thesis short film with Bonnie 2.0 Rig (Josh Sobel Rigs) and Boy Rig (CartoonFactory). The film is about a non-expressive mother struggling to say goodbye to her son at the airport.

I'm the director of this film, responsible for story, layout and animation as well. Lighting, shading and compositing credit to my friend, Brian Lesiangi.

This is a 3-shot action sequence with Ronan Rig (Josh Sobel Rigs). The last double sword slash is inspired by a Monster Hunter footage my friend showed me. Had so much working on the sound effects and putting in the geometries for the gun firing and sword slashing effects.

This is a 9-shot acting performance animation with Bonnie 2.0 Rig (Josh Sobel Rigs) and Paul Rig (Long Winter Studios). The dialogue is from "Iron Man 2" when Happy is boxing with Black Widow.
