Paris Lucke - 3D Artist/Animator/Generalist
This is a collection of my top 3 favourite and best 3D projects. Two of them are 3D animated videos, the third is a 3D environment/scene.
A Time Apart (Short Film, 2019).
In 1939, Fred Mace and his big sister, Doris, are evacuated from London but placed with different families. Fred's new life is miserable and his guardian abusive. When Doris learns what's been happening to her little brother, it's time for the Mace family to reunite! Based on the real life experiences of my grandfather during World War 2.
Original music composed by Jeffrey Wang and Amy Stewart, I am responsible for all other aspects.
Assets featured in A Time Apart:
Mitosis - Dr Seuss Styled Science Explainer Video:
This video explains with animated visuals what Mitosis is, it is aimed at younger secondary school students and implements Dr Seuss styled language to make the information more memorable. It is 3D but has been laid out to look 2D.
Voice over script co-written with Phil Gomm, I am responsible for all other aspects.
'Merveille' City of Wonder Surrealism Environment:
This environment was inspired by the idea of "dreamscape architecture" as presented in the film Inception (2010), and the methodology behind Joseph Cornell's shadow/memory boxes, (using antique objects -perhaps of nostalgic - value to construct scenes inside a display box).
Left: Concept art. Right: Final composited render. Responsible for all aspects.
