Environment and Props

I always try to put a piece of myself into my work. I enjoy being creative and having an endless opportunity to create anything that comes up in my mind. I really found a lot of joy in creating environments and that's what I'm trying to show with my entry for the Rookies 2020.

Roman Ruins Scene in UE4

I tried to create a calm and peaceful athmosphere within an abandoned roman ruins scene. The Quixel library delivered me all the assets I needed to build the environment I had in my head. It's always nice to see when your idea and your work become one. I enjoyed playing around with the lighting in Unreal to really push the work in the direction I wanted.

Surreal Pink Environment in UE4

For our Final assignment of Level Deco, I tried to create something different. I got inspired by the oeuvre of Peter Tarka. He manages to create fun, lightweighted but still interesting and characterful environments full of color by using primitive objects. I tried to implement those aspects into a 180 degrees scene. I wanted to blend a pink surreal world with real world aspects and a touch of Tokyo street elements.

The focus of the assignment was to create an environment and show the acquired knowledge of substance designer. The props weren't the main focus so most of them aren't made by me.

WoW Stylized Flame Thrower

A low-poly weapon inspired by World of Warcraft made for an assignment for Game Art in my first year. I really enjoyed working on this piece.
