10 Months of Archviz

by sebastianskou on 26 May 2020 for Rookie Awards 2020

It's been about a year, since I started my Archviz journey at 3D College, and these are some of the projects I produced during that time. I've had a great time getting to learn 3D, and to improve over time, as an artist, has been very satisfying. All projects contain downloaded Models. Enjoy!

                     Dark Workspace

This is my latest project, and my favorite so far. I wanted to improve my material skills, as well as my compositional ones, with a larger variety of compositions and angles, including Close-ups. I also wanted to try, and focus on creating more unity in the lighting, exterior, and interior style.

The decoration was also a larger part of the project, as I wanted to scene to feel lived-in, and alive.

                Remote Living Room

I created this project in April, 2020.

For this project, my focus was on lighting. staging and decoration of the scene. I Experimented with some new plugins and approaches to lighting and HDRI. The project took about two weeks to complete.

This project in particular, leaned more into downloaded models, as I wanted to experiment with my workflow, as well as lighting and decorating a larger space, with more potential angles and compositions

                    Kitchen Interior

This Render was based on a picture of a kitchen, which I found online.

My original goal was to focus more on recreating the lighting and contrast of the scene, but as I progressed, I became more fixated on recreating the bigger shapes of the picture, while playing around with the contents of the kitchen table, and the intensity/hue of the lighting

                Workspace Interior

This render is based on a picture of a Scandinavian-inspired Workspace, and was created November, 2019

This project was one of my earliest, and was a great experience, to build upon. I wanted to reproduce the room, and main elements of the picture, but make my own slight adjustments to colour and light. My main focus for the project was lighting and surface imperfections, but I also learned a lot, as to quickly produce an image.
