Nether Dragon Executioner || Warlock || WoW 3D Model

This is is my submission for the Rookie Awards 2020. 

I designed this weapon, inspired by the game World Of Warcraft for the Game Art course at DAE Howest.

Below you will find the whole process: from ideation to execution.

The first step: ideation and different iteration of certain weapons. I choose for the executioner as I liked the form and the open space in the silhouette.

For the texture I searched for an exotic look and incorporated the damascus steeled blades.

Narrative:

When the shaman orc Ner’zhul opened the portals of the different worlds. The nether was revealed and so the Netherwing Dragons emerged. The new threat could only be stopped by a weapon crafted in the abysses of the nether: The Nether Dragon Executioner.
