Mental Health Rehabilitation Centre
This centre is to help the women who have suffered from domestic violence by their partner to recover emotionally with different types of therapies that aim to help the users achieve a new balance of mindset and to restore their self-esteem. Emotional abusers may make their victims feel worthless to disempower them. In order for the users to gain their confidence back and to become more capable, a handcraft work is proposed for the users to learn to craft and be able to financially sustain themselves in the future.
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak or think as one wants. In this project, the researcher defines freedom as unlimited, having flow like a rhythm as there are ups and downs throughout the journey of recovery. The concept “Rhythm of Serenity” describes reconnecting people with nature through design with the help of natural ventilation, sunlight and bringing greens into the space that creates a new private space for the users to heal and feel comfortable with the surroundings, allowing them to step out of their darkness.
