3D Environment and Character Art
These are some of the pieces I made during my time at AnimSchool. I am so thankful for my instructors and the time they have spent working with me on my projects. I have mostly done characters, but recently I began working on environments and absolutely love them!
I have always been drawn to a more cooky/quirky art style and I loved how this concept really explored different shapes. It felt vibrant and lived in, reminding me of an Alice in Wonderland sort of style. I was working with a very short focal length, and it was challenging to stay true to the concept but also maintain a sense of reality in the forms. I was constantly questioning where to lean into the wackiness and where to ground it in what is physically possible. Ultimately, I loved how it turned out and am working on texturing in Substance Painter.

I was really excited to work on this model of Black Widow. I loved the dynamic pose and wanted to take a stab at it myself! This was also a study into topology, to create a model that would be able to move and function properly down the pipeline. Everything was modeled in Maya except for the hair, which was sculpted in ZBrush. I am currently working on a rig for this character.

I fell in love immediately when I saw this concept for Norbert. I really felt how stressed/nervous he was right off the bat. It was the first project I did using ZBrush and I had a blast learning the software. One area where I really struggled was in sculpting the fist, but ultimately I am happy with the result I was able to achieve.
