Art Progression over 3 years
This entry showcases my best artworks while learning to make 3D art. I am 17 and have a passion for 3D art. I started 3D modelling in early 2017 for an art piece in grade nine where I made a short animation in Unity. One day I would love to work in the 3D industry
I am currently still in high school and have taken visual arts as a subject, however i am completely self-taught and one out of two people who make digital, 3D art in my school. Some of my art pieces are done for school and some are make as practice when learning new aspects of the field.
Because I have to submit art finals each term and there are four terms per year, creating these finals are very time consuming. Therefor some of time I use 3rd party assets from Quixel Megascans, Unreal marketplace, CG trader, etc.
The primary software I use is Blender, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 4, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Fuse
These finals were created last year for school. They both depict mental disorders. The first one is Anxiety disorder, and the second one is Cotard's Syndrome. Both created with Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
The next two environments were made in Unreal Engine 4, Blender, Substance and Adobe Fuse. Along with some Megascans, assets, and Unreal marketplace packs.
A Sci -Fi Unreal environment made last year.
There is audio, but its a bit soft on YouTube.
My 2nd Unreal environment made this year mostly in the beginning of lock down. I wanted to learn animation, and a bit of dialogue with blueprints for this school art final.
I also got to use the new ray tracing features with unreal for better shadows and GI. Nearly all the lighting is dynamic
Original Footage from my roof
This VFX shot was made for a larger project which I was unable to complete in time for this competition.
I rendered, modeled, and animated in Blender. Then exported the png sequence into After Effects to composite, colour grade, etc.
I used some 3rd party assets from CG trader and textures from megescans for some of the buildings.
A few smaller renders, that were done just for practice.
That was my first time sculpting a creature after a few days of practice and learning in Zbrush
