Drawing things

Hello, my name is Albert and I will be showcasing some of my works in my previous semesters during my studies. May they inspire or entertain you, thank you.

The first thing I would like to share is a project I worked on during my third year in The One Academy. It is a story about a young boy who grew jealous of his sister until the jealousy itself manifests to fulfill his desires. The story is set in Nogard, a sandy land filled with dragons and dragon racing is tradition. I was assigned to design several concepts for the character, creature, props and also illustrations for the story.

For the characters, I was tasked to come up with a concept of the Sultan's royal guards, which are specially trained soldiers to protect the Sultan, so i tried to emphasize a more defensive prowess in the design. As for the second character, he is Tezcacoatl, an Aztec racer who represents his country to race in the annual dragon race. His designed is derived by a tribal and swift look.

I was also tasked to design Quetzalcoatl, Tezcacoatl's faithful dragon, it is designed to be colorful, agile and have similar touches with Tezcacoatl. I also designed the cargo for which Quetzalcoatl uses for transportation to Nogard or any long journeys.

The images above are the concepts I worked on for the dragon trophy, one which the winner of the race gets to light a color of fire representing their nations throughout the year, and the exterior of a dragon stables.

And this is the illustration I made for a key scene where the boy's jealousy manifests and attacks his father out of rage.

Painting environment has always been something I really enjoyed doing and seeing great concepts and composition never cease to fascinate me. So below are some matte paintings and environment illustrations I did in my previous semester.

And to top it all off, I would like to share some previous works in my studies and stuffs from my free time that I am quite proud of.
