Round of applause for our sponsors

My participation for a contest proposed by DPSchool. The theme was to "reinvent the favorite story of our childhood", whether it be a book, a film, a cartoon, a video game etc.

So i choose to reinterpret "Asterix and Obelix" as gangs members of Los Angeles, strongly inspired by GTA San andreas and West coast group. I really enjoyed doing this illustration.

I used mainly 3DSmax and Vray  for the environnement, to create Asterix and Obelix, I used DAZ studio and Marvelous Designer and  for idefix I used the preset dog of Zbrush. Once I had all the elements in my scene, I used the overpaint  and photobash method with photoshop to improve the rendering of the illustration.

Some research for the design of Asterix, Obelix and Idefix.

Here is my participation for the Atomhawk Solarpunk Contest. It's a really interesting subject, I really enjoyed working on it and imagining what a world could look like that would use solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy.

First I start by thinking about shape and design.

Then I choose some shapes that I find interesting and I develop the idea thinking about the functionality while reworking the design.

I'm making some thumbnails to find an interesting composition.

With  3Dsmax, I make some light tests to find the a nice mood.

To celebrate Halloween, the site photobash.org had offered a free photo pack to create an illustration, it was the opportunity for me to participate and create a universe on this theme. I mainly used Photoshop for this project and a little 3DSmax and DAZ studio for the realization of the characters and the hands.

Here some thumbnails I did for this project.

I've always been attracted to the creepy and unhealthy universe. With this project I wanted to create an heavy atmosphere, heavely inspired by Silent Hill.

I used 3Dsmax, Vray and DAZ studio to create the scene and photoshop to add textures and post-production.

I came up with the idea for this project after watching a documentary about the Maasaï people.

"The tribe takes the bodies of the dead to a crypt inside a huge sacred tree, guarded by the spirit of a spider goddess, so that the souls of the dead can rest in peace under the eye of this deity. "

I mainly used photobashing and some 3DSmax to create my thumbnails, my research for the sacred tree and the mask.

Here some thumbnails and research I did for this project.

Illustrations I did for a contest, the theme of this contest was “parallel world”, we had to create an environment, character design or a key image. We had created the same illustration with two differents mood, one happy version and one chaotic version. I used 3DSmax software with the Vray rendering engine to create a simple base and then I did the rest on Photoshop.

First I start by thinking about a composition.

Then I create a moodboard with references.

I create a simple 3D scene and then overpaint it with photoshop.

Here is an illustration I made for a weekly challenge proposed by the artist richard vatinel, the theme of this  challenge was to study skull and make a personal illustration of it.

Painting inspired by the work of Bastien Grivet.

Illustration I did for a weekly challenge proposed by the artist richard vatinel, the theme of this challenge was "Arid terrain".

Concept inspired by the works done for "the last of us" game

I've always been fascinated to see how the light reacts on the windshield at night when it rains.

Personal project for practice, I used picture from photo stock of Florian Aupetit.

Concept inspired by the work of Martin Deschambault

In order to always better understand how colors and light works, I study photography and painting.

Thank you for reading.
